129th Assault Helicopter Company, Lane Army Heliport, AnSon, Vietnam, 1972...

A great bunch of guys... who worked hard supporting the Korean Tiger Division and the 22nd ARVN Division on a daily basis. The unit was located just west of Qui Nhon near the intersection of QL 1 & QL 19. Phu Cat AFB was located just north of AnSon.

The unit turned their UH-1 Hueys over to the VNAF at Camp Alpha, March 10, 1973; and after a couple of days mounted up on the "big iron Freedom bird" for the long flight back to "the land of big PX."

DRUDGE REPORT 2004

DRUDGE REPORT 2004

After conducting interviews and research, authors of Unfit for Command conclude, “The truth is that Kerry made up his secret mission into Cambodia.... the lie about the illegal Cambodian incursion painted his superiors up the chain of command. . . . as villains faced down by John Kerry, a solitary hero in grave and exotic danger and forced illegally against his will into harm’s way.”
